November 7, 2006 State Election
The
Electors of the Town of
I. To cast their votes for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, United States Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, Secretary of the State, Treasurer, Comptroller, Attorney General, Judge of Probate, Registrar of Voters.
II. To vote on the following local questions for approval or disapproval of resolutions approved by the Town Council on September 5, 2006, which questions will be placed on the voting machines under the following headings, respectively:
“SHALL THE TOWN OF MANSFIELD APPROPRIATE $200,000 FOR INSTALLATION OF AIR CONDITIONING IN THE MANSFIELD COMMUNITY CENTER GYMNASIUM, AND AUTHORIZE THE ISSUE OF BONDS AND NOTES IN THE SAME AMOUNT TO DEFRAY SAID APPROPRIATION?’

The
vote on the above questions will be taken under the authority of Sections
406 and 407 of the Town Charter and Sections 7-7, 9-369, and 9-369d of
the Connecticut General Statutes. A vote of “YES” will be a vote for
the approval of a resolution, and a vote of “NO” will be a vote for the
disapproval of said resolution. The full texts of the resolutions are
on file and open to public inspection in the office of the Town Clerk.
Application for absentee ballots should be made to the Town Clerk’s office.
Electors shall vote on the question at their respective polling places.
Voters who are not electors, but who qualify to vote in town meetings,
shall vote on the question at the following polling place: Registrar of
Voters office,
Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling places is as follows:

Voting machines will be used. The polls will be opened at six o’clock in the morning (6:00 a.m.) and will remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8:00 p.m.).
