I.                MINUTES: The minutes of the January 15, 2003 meeting were accepted as written.

 

II.               OLD BUSINESS:

 

A.     Update on Scholarship Fund: K. Grunwald has passed along recommendations for to add the scholarship donation to the online registration and Community Center membership form as a check-off to Curt Vincente.  This will be reviewed further at the March meeting.

B.    Fee waiver ordinance brochure and distribution: tabled until the March meeting.

C.    Agency funding requests: review of applications received (see attachment).  A follow-up meeting will be scheduled in the next two weeks to complete this process.

D.    Status of annual budget process: preliminary departmental budget has been submitted.

E.  At Risk Program: practices and procedures will be reviewed in detail at a later date.

F.     Other: none.

IV.         COMMUNICATIONS/REPORTS: 

 

A.     Review of Department activity and other items in packet and discussion with SSD Director:

·        Graustein Foundation Discovery Grant: application submitted January 31.

·        LWVCT Community Conversations: follow-up event was successful.

·        School Readiness Grant: we have been told that the grant may be pulled due to low enrollment.
