A.                 Details, Changes, New Strategies: using simple, non-technical language, what is the one thing that you would like to see this collaborative accomplish in 2005?  Don’t worry about goals, objectives, or a formal action plan.  Graustein has broadly defined our goal for 2005 to be to “develop and expand community competencies in the areas of racial equity, parent engagement, community mobilization and leveraging resources to sustain and institutionalize process and practice change.”  Wow, what a mouthful!!  Simply put, given everything that you know about this community, our families and their children, what are one or two things that we can agree to take on that would encourage involvement in issues related to the care and education of young children by some underrepresented members of our community?  Please give this some thought before the meeting, and come prepared to share ideas that are creative, audacious, and may appear to be totally unrelated to some of our previous Discovery work.  You are all the experts in this area, and we look forward to your input.
