Storrs Center Gets Early Commitment From Mansfield Travel Planning Franchise
Travelplanners views new “Main Street” neighborhood as opportune
for business
StorrsCenter has announced a new letter of intent agreement with
an established local “travel planning” company. Travelplanners is a franchisee
of Travel Leaders, a $26 billion travel company, with some 2,000 offices in the
United States
and around the world. They have been in the business of providing full-service travel
arrangements for their clients since 1970. In addition to managing corporate travel
accounts, Travelplanners arranges tour, cruise, escorted and independent travel
reservations for individuals and groups alike. In Connecticut,
they maintain offices in Putnam and at 1254 Storrs Road in Mansfield.
David
Schiller, President of Travelplanners, sees StorrsCenter
as well-suited for his company. Schiller states, “Our firm was started in Storrs in 1988, and we
have found it a great community for business, which is derived from UConn
students, faculty and staff as well as local and regional residents. We expect
our relocation to StorrsCenter to be favorable
both in terms of servicing our existing clients and the foot traffic that will
be generated from our new neighbors and visitors.”
