Adoption of an Ordinance Establishing a Fee Schedule for Fire Prevention Services

Following a Public Hearing held on May 26, 2009, the Mansfield Town Council adopted an Ordinance Establishing a Fee Schedule for Fire Prevention Services. This ordinance shall become effective 21 days after a summary of the ordinance and a notice of adoption is published in a newspaper having a circulation in the Town of Mansfield.

This ordinance establishes a fee schedule for Fire Prevention Services.  The ordinance provides that the Town will assess fees for “new construction” only, and the requirements are applicable to all new construction, additions, renovations, and modernization to building and structures that are regulated by the provisions of the Connecticut Fire Safety Code.  The Fire Safety Code does not apply to one and two family dwellings, or accessory structures of one and two family dwellings.
