TOWN OF MANSFIELD
ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT TO THE HOUSING CODE

Following a Public Hearing held on April 27, 2009, the Mansfield Town Council adopted an amendment to the Housing Code, Private Sewage Disposal System Maintenance. This ordinance shall become effective 21 days after a summary of the ordinance and a notice of adoption is published in a newspaper having a circulation in the Town of Mansfield.

This amendment authorizes changes to the Housing Code of the Town of Mansfield, section 506.3, to increase the span of time from the immediately preceding two years to the immediately preceding four years, during which any on-site sewage disposal system must have been cleaned and serviced, as demonstrated by the report of a licensed pumper/hauler submitted to the Housing Code Official, before a rental certificate may be issued pursuant to Chapter 9 of the Housing Code.
