Due in the Assessor’s Office by October 1, 2008 for the 2008 grand list to receive benefits for tax/assessment relief.

Veterans’ letters for disability ratings are to be filed with the Assessor’s Office annually by October 1st to maintain additional benefit CGS 12-81

Dd 214 veterans discharge forms must be filed with the Town Clerk’s Office by new applicants for tax relief: cgs 12-93

Active duty military letters by commanders are due for exemption of (1) motor vehicle. CGS 12-81(53)

Applications for blind, ambulatory vehicle, non-military disabled citizen exemption.are also due. CGS 12-81(J) 12-81(55)

Applications (filed every other year) for additional low income veterans benefits CGS 12-81 (G)

Applications for PA490 farm and forest are due to the Assessors Office by November 30. New applicants must have a certified foresters report attached. CGS 12-107(C,D,E)

Tax exempt organizations within the Town of Mansfield Quadrennial applications for tax exempt status are due November 1 CGS 12-81 (7) (10) (11)

All businesses doing business in or with the Town of Mansfield and Storrs, including tax exempt organizations:

Personal Property declarations will be mailed in September and may be filed between October 1 & November 3. Failure to receive a declaration does not exempt a business from the requirement of filing by november 3rd 2008 and failure to file a business will be assessed a 25% penalty.
