TAX NOTICE

TOWN OF MANSFIELD

NOTICE is hereby given to ALL PERSONS liable to pay taxes in the Town of Mansfield, Connecticut. That I have a Warrant to collect a tax of 23.87 mills on the dollar of the Grand List of said Town as last perfected, and that said tax is due and payable on July 1, 2007 and January 1, 2008. Any tax of $50.00 or less and all motor vehicle tax, regardless of amount, shall be due July 1, 2007.

For the purpose of collecting said tax, I shall be at the Audrey P. Beck Building, Mansfield Town Offices, 4 South Eagleville Road, during the month of July, Monday through Wednesday; from 8:15am to 4:30pm, Thursday, from 8:15am to 6:30pm and Friday from 8am to Noon, except for Wednesday, July 4, 2007. .

After August 1, 2007, this tax becomes delinquent, and interest will be charged from the due date at one and one-half percent per month or fraction thereof, eighteen percent per annum, minimum interest charge is $2.00, (See Chapter 204, Section 12-145,12-146, Revision of 1983 of the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut – Public Act 82-141).

FAILURE TO RECEIVE A TAX BILL DOES NOT EXCUSE TAX OR PENALTY. If you don’t get a bill, please inquire before the due date to ensure you know the amount that is due.

The Statutes of the State of Connecticut that apply to the levy and collection of taxes will be enforced against any person neglecting this notice.
