TAX NOTICE 

TOWN OF MANSFIELD   

NOTICE is hereby given to ALL PERSONS liable to pay taxes in the Town of Mansfield, Connecticut, that the second payment of their taxes on the list of October 1, 2005 is due January 1, 2007, and that the Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax for vehicles registered between October 2, 2005 and July 31, 2006 is also due on January 1, 2007. 

The Tax Office, located in the Audrey P. Beck Building, Mansfield Town Offices, 4 South Eagleville Road, Mansfield, Connecticut, shall be open for collection from 8:15am to 4:30pm, Monday through Wednesday, 8:15am to 6:30pm on Thursday, and 8:00am until noon on Friday. 

The grace period to pay the taxes without additional charges is through February 1, 2007.  Any payments made later than the grace period, are delinquent and interest will be charged starting back from the DUE DATE, January 1, 2007, at one and one-half percent per month or fraction thereof, eighteen percent per annum, with a minimum interest charge of $2.00 (See Chapter 204, Section 12-145,12-146, Revision of 1983 of the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut – Public Act 82-141). 

The Statutes of the State of Connecticut that apply to the levy and collection of taxes will be enforced against any person neglecting this notice. FAILURE TO RECEIVE A TAX BILL DOES NOT EXCUSE TAX OR PENALTY.
