Chairman Caroline Redding called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m.

 

Present were Al Hawkins and Caroline Redding.

 

Members heard from Michael Collins, 223 Gurleyville Road, who expressed an interest in serving on the Town/ University Board.  Committee members will investigate openings and minority representation on the Board.

 

By consensus Joan Terry will be recommended to the Town Council to fill the Town’s appointment to the McSweeney Senior Center.

 

The Volunteer Recognition Day will be held on May 19, 2007 hopefully at Bicentennial Pond.  The rain date will be May 20, 2007.  Mr. Hawkins suggested that the Committee might investigate having the event catered.

 

Mr. Hawkins reported that the press release announcing the formation of the Housing Code Board of Appeals has been published.

 

Ms. Redding will explore the possibility of the Committee on Committees supporting a booth at the Know Your Town Fair.
