COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES

JULY 18, 2006

Chairman Caroline Redding called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m.

 

Present were Al Hawkins, Bruce Clouette and Caroline Redding.

 

The Committee reviewed the list of Boards and Commissions and volunteered to

contact current members of committees to ascertain their willingness to continue

serving.

 

Mr. Clouette will contact:

Gail Bruhn regarding the Historic District Commission; the Beautification Committee,

The ADA Grievance Committee, the Cemetery Committee, Anne Smith regarding the Tourism Committee and Kay Holt and Betty Gardner regarding WINCOG.

 

Ms. Redding will contact:

The Advisory Committee on Persons with Disabilities, Carol Pellegrine for suggestions for the Arts Advisory Committee, the Mansfield Advocates for Children Committee for names and a committee charge, Nora Stevens, Win Smith and Norman Stevens regarding the Board of Ethics and the Transportation Committee.

 

Mr. Hawkins will contact:

Jennifer Kaufman regarding the Parks Advisory Committee and the Recreation Committee, Matt Hart regarding advertising for members for the new Housing Code Committee and will look for two additional members for the Memorial Day Committee.

 

The Town Clerk will e-mail the web site link to all staff members and ask for changes, additions to the charges and meeting dates.  She will request that they respond by the end of August.

 

Volunteer Recognition Day was discussed.  Ms. Redding will contact Sara-Ann Chaine and Joan Gerdsen to see if they are willing to assist with the planning.  Ideas for the event were explored.

 

Mr. Clouette will contact Ann Kouatly to see if the Committee could have a booth at the League of Women’s Know Your Town Fair on September 9th.

 

The next meeting was set for August 15, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
