Minutes of the April 10, 2007 meeting

 

Members present:  Evangeline Abbott, Ken Feathers, Quentin Kessel, Steve Lowrey, Jim Morrow, David Silsbee, Vicky Wetherell.

 

  1. Meeting called to order at 7:40.

 

  1. Minutes of the March 20, 2007 meeting were approved on a motion by Lowrey/ Feathers.

 

  1. Opportunity for Public Comment:  none present.

 

  1. Old Business:  Discussion of PZC Files #1256 & 1257 Downtown Partnership/Storrs Center.  Review of larger maps generated comments which included discussion and recommendations to be made to PZC concerning storm water runoff/management, vernal pool protection, logical trail placements to create connections, sidewalks on both side of roads, stone wall preservation and impact on services.  The question of adequate water supply was also addressed as well as the traffic configuration at Dog Lane. 

 

      OSPC Initiative – discussed attendance at upcoming events and possible future workshops.

 

  1. New Business:  Brief discussion of alternate plan which received positive response from PCZ.  There was also a brief discussion of possible activities to honor 45-year charter members of the Conservation Commission.    

     

  1. Meeting adjourned at 9:15.
