I.                    MINUTES: Minutes of February 22, 2007 meeting: the minutes of the February 22 meeting were accepted as written.

 

II.                  NEW BUSINESS:

 

A.     Membership/Introductions: members introduced themselves.  Ron Baker is attending as a prospective member.

 

B.    Mission/Purpose of the Social Service Advisory Committee: K. Grunwald presented background information on the roles and responsibilities of this committee.  Members were encouraged to think about how they would like to see this committee function, with potential oversight for all programs of the Dept. of Social Services.

 

C.    Spring Weekend: K. Grunwald presented a brief update on plans for involvement in UConn’s Spring Weekend.    

 

D.    “Other”

 

III.                OLD BUSINESS:

 

A.      Update: Assisted/Independent Living Advisory Committee: K. Grunwald presented an update on the work of the newly formed Assisted/Independent Living advisory committee.

 

B.      Review of Non-Profit Agency Funding Requests: no changes; recommendations have gone to the Town Manager for the amounts requested by the agencies.

 

C.      Committee Goals: FY 07: no discussion.

 

D.      Other
