I.                    MINUTES: Minutes of June1, 2006 meeting: minutes from that meeting were not available for review at this date.

 

II.                  NEW BUSINESS:

 

A.     Membership/Chair: Membership has been lagging in this group, and it has not met for some time.  K. Grunwald has requested that the Committee on Committees assist in new member recruitment, and existing members will also solicit potential new members.

 

B.    Non-Profit Funding Applications: members present briefly reviewed applications from the following agencies: Access Community Agency (energy assistance on-site), CT Legal Services, Holy Family Home and Shelter, Safe Havens, Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Eastern CT, United Services, WRCC Veteran’s Advisor, and Windham Area Interfaith Ministries.  Requests for funding were approved, pending any questions that may arise in a further review of the applications.

 

C.    “Other”: Members reviewed departmental activity highlighted in the most recent quarterly report.

 

III.                OLD BUSINESS:

 

A.      Update: Assisted/Independent Living: K. Grunwald updated members on the creation of an advisory committee to attract a developer to this area based on the results of the Brecht Report.

B.      Committee Goals: FY 07: no discussion.

C.      Other

 

     IV.  COMMUNICATIONS/REPORTS: 

A.     Review of Department activity: review of quarterly report.

B.          Program updates
