Four Corners Sewer Planning Advisory Committee

Minutes of the Meeting – January 27, 2009

Present:  Nesbitt (chair), Hart, Rawn, Plante, Ferrigno, Girard, Schaefer, Tussing, Pacholski, Hultgren, Hossack (guest)

The meeting was called to order by chair Nesbitt at 7:05 PM.

The minutes of the 1/13/09 meeting were approved on a motion by Plante/Schaefer which passed with 1 abstention. 

Hultgren circulated the email he received from the DEP concerning its position on sewering the 4-Corners area.  It was marked for insertion in the reference binders as #8.

Nesbitt reported on a meeting held with UConn’s Tom Callahan to define UConn’s position with regards to providing water for the 4-Corners area, and if and when that is likely to occur.  Hultgren noted that since design money is not available for water or sewer without a bond referendum, he may be able to have the Town’s engineering employees start this design work this spring.

The March 24^th presentation was then reviewed and edited in detail.  Nesbitt will incorporate these edits into the presentation for review at a subsequent meeting.

Future meetings were set for Feb 10^th, 24^th and March 24^th, which would be the public presentation and stakeholders meeting in the Council Chambers.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:45 PM.
