Four Corners Sewer Planning Advisory Committee

Minutes of the Meeting – January 13, 2009

Present:  Nesbitt (chair), Hart, Rawn, Plante, Ferrigno, Girard, Tussing, Pacholski, Hultgren, Hossack (guest)

The meeting was called to order by chair Nesbitt at 7:00 PM. 

The minutes were approved with one correction (the earliest completion date for the CT Water proposal was fall of 2010) on a motion by Hart/Plante.

Hultgren had passed out binders for each committee member with information from various sources about the four-corners area and its sewer and water needs.  The committee briefly reviewed each document in the binder, noting that a few sections were yet to be completed as the committee works through its charge.

Nesbitt’s outline of a public meeting/work session with affected property owners was discussed.  The following suggestions were made for this:

n Condense the material into 4 major areas and reorder it slightly

n Hit just the high points

n Anticipate the questions that will be asked and answer them in the brief presentation

n Set up a bulleted power point presentation with graphics to talk from

n Precede or follow the presentation with informal one-on-one work sessions

A subcommittee was set up to meet on Thursday Jan 22^nd (7 PM) to begin work on the presentation.  Staff will have a laptop, pictures and graphics assembled for the subcommittee’s work session.

The next full committee meeting was set for Tuesday Jan 27^th (7 PM).

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:30 PM.
