1. Call to Order/Roll Call

Ms. Paterson called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m.

2. Meeting Minutes

The minutes of March 12, 2008 were moved, seconded and approved unanimously.

3. Opportunity for the public to address the Committee

No one came forward.

4. Fuss & O’Neil re: MMS Fossil Fuel Project

Update from Mr. Hart regarding the 4:00 MMS Fossil Fuel Project. Mr. Hart reported that Fuss & O’Neill is focusing on the State approval process. A Plans Approval Test is being completed on May 12th. This will be final. Mr. Smith reported that if approved it could go out to bid within the next couple of weeks after approval.

5. Architect’s Report

Mr. Lawrence reported Newfield Construction has been concentrating on the cost estimates. Mr. Lawrence presented preliminary numbers from Newfield Construction using “Rule of Thumb” numbers based on current projects and adding escalation.

Mr. Lawrence explained the handout in detail.

6. Construction Manager Services

Mr. DiMauro explained in detail how he came up with the breakdown and options for the numbers.

7. Other

The next School Building Committee meeting will be on May 14, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. The MMS Fuel Conversion Project will be on May 14, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.

8. Adjournment

Mr. Hart adjourned the meeting at 5:57 p.m.
