3.      Opportunity for the public to address the Committee

No one came forward.

4.      Report from Fuel Conversion Project Subcommittee

Mr. Callahan provided the Committee with an update stating that it will take another six to eight weeks for the completion of the design of the heating system for the Fossil Fuel Conversion Project.  His office has been asked to include air conditioning in the cafeteria and the third floor as alternates.

5.      Architect’s Report

Mr. Lawrence distributed an outline for a summary as to where they stand in the project.  Floor plans are included in the packet.  Recommendations are included along with pictures of current conditions.

Attendance at the public workshops was low.  Mr. Lawrence and Dr. Schimmel are working on getting the attendance to increase for the March meeting.  The next step is to come in with actual conceptual ideas for solutions for what staffed has asked for with the program.

Mr. Lawrence also discussed the services of the construction manager.  Mr. Lawrence recommended advertising the Letter of Interest RFP by the end of this week.  Mr. Lawrence recommended adding to the original expertise in Green Building.

Mr. Callahan left at 6:09 p.m.

Ms. Feathers pointed out that information could be handed out at school concerts, pre-school screenings and fun fair’s as parental attendance is high at these functions.  Information should also be available at both the Library and the Community Center.
