MINUTES
Present: Bill Simpson, Chair, Martin Berliner, Matt Hart, Gordon Schimmel via phone, Elizabeth Paterson, Anne Rash

1. Call to Order/Roll Call
Mr. Simpson called the meeting to order at 5:14 p.m.
2. Meeting Minutes
The minutes of June 14, 2006 were moved, seconded and approved unanimously.

4. Educational Consulting Services
Dr. Jokubaitis distributed his report and summarized the elementary school Principals. Linda Patenaude will distribute to Committee Members. He stated that the Middle School section is new. One factor at the Middle School is declining enrollment presently but this will change and enrollment will again rise. Staff issues were more along the capital and maintenance lines. Basically the same issues were presented at the Middle School that were presented at the elementary schools (movable walls, security, etc.)
Next steps are to schedule presentations at the schools. Discussion was held regarding timeline, should be presented to Council and Board of Education Board members before public. Next step would be an informational session for the public with a question and answer session.
Martin Berliner requested Dr. Jokubaitis to do a 3-4 page summary of his finding.
Anne Rash left at 5:35 p.m.
Agreement was made to meet at the Council meeting on September 11th as an early agenda item starting at 7:00 p.m. Next meeting on September 13th will be with QBS. They will publicized at the open houses and the schools.
The timeline schedule will be revised. J. Smith to update.

The next meeting is scheduled for September 13, 2006 at 5:00.
