appointed Alternates Pociask and Lombard to act in member's absence. Favretti noted that this is a Special Meeting
of the Agency and the only item of Business being conducted this evening is a
scheduled Public Hearing regarding the draft revisions to the Aquifer
Protection Regulations.
Public Hearing
Proposed Revisions to
Chairman Favretti opened the Public Hearing at 8:43. Members present
were R. Favretti (Chairman), R. Hall, K. Holt, P. Kochenburger, B. Ryan, G.
Zimmer, and Alternates L. Lombard and B. Pociask. Padick read the Legal Notice
as it appeared in the Chronicle on November 28 and December 13, 2007. Padick listed the following communications
that have been received and distributed to all members of the Aquifer Protection
Agency: a 12-13-07 memo from Dennis O'Brien, Town Attorney and a 12-14-07 memo
from G. Padick, Director of Planning.
Padick summarized the
revisions to the Regulations and noted that it is a change in time frames and
notification process which he feels to be administrative changes. He added that this change will create
consistency in time frames among the APA, PZC and IWA.
Peter Stevens questioned
the Aquifer Protection Agency's role in the Downtown Partnership project and
its water supply. Padick responded to
this question explaining that the APA doesn't play a role in the water supply
to that project as it is supplied by UConn.
Favretti noted no
questions from the Agency or Public.
Holt MOVED, Hall seconded to close the Public Hearing at 8:50 p.m. MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
Adjournment:
Favretti declared the
meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Katherine
K. Holt, Secretary
