Minutes of September 3, 2008 meeting

1. Acting Chairman, Vicky Wetherell called the meeting to order at 7:35.

2. PRESENT:            Al Cyr, Charlie Galgowski, Vicky Wetherell

3. Minutes of the March 12, 2008, meeting were approved.

4. New Business

CL&P Proposal- Interstate Reliability Project

The committee discussed CL&P’s proposal to construct a second power line next to existing power lines crossing the south part of Mansfield.  The committee is concerned about the potential impact of construction activities on prime farmland and on farming operations, particularly along Bassetts Bridge Road in Mansfield Center.  The committee will send a report to the Town Council outlining these concerns and the committee’s recommendations.
