Minutes of July 11, 2007 meeting

1. Acting Chairman, Al Cyr, called the meeting to order at 7:30

2. PRESENT: Al Cyr, Charlie Galgowski, Vicky Wetherell

3. Minutes of the May 2, 2007 meeting were approved.

Old Business

4. Proposed Farm Animal Regulations

            The committee reviewed South Windsor’s regulations, which were recommended by Jim Gibbons of the UConn Extension System.  It was decided to use these regulations as a basis for the committee’s recommendations concerning the proposed Mansfield regulations.  The committee considered and approved a proposed list of adaptations of the South Windsor version.  

            A draft of the adapted regulations will be circulated to the committee before a work session in August at a date convenient to all committee members.  At this session the committee will review the draft and make further recommendations for revisions.
