Dear Mansfield Parents:

After the January 8, 2007, Southeast PTO Parent Hour Talk by Sgt Sean Cox, Mansfield Resident State Trooper on Internet Safety, several parents asked for ways to follow up on the information presented. Below you will find the Internet links and the names of some of the products he mentioned in his talk.

As well, we have found that a user friendly site for general parent information and education is the SafeKids.com* site started by technology columnist and author columnist Larry Magid. If you are new to the topic of Internet safety SafeKids.com it is a good place to start and a good site to go back to often.

*SafeKids.com is founded by long time syndicated technology columnist and broadcaster, Larry Magid. Larry contributes to CBS News, the New York Times, San Jose Mercury News and other media outlets numerous other publications.  Larry's newest book is MySpace Unraveled: A parents guide to teen social networkng, coauthored with Anne Collier.
