Using RM Math at Home!
(If you are using RM Math at school, use the Kaleidos icon
in the "educational software" folder.)
Follow the six easy steps below to login to RM Math for the first time at home. It will help to print out a copy of these directions. Ask your parents for permission before installing any software on your home computer.
1) Go to either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape on your home computer.
2) Go to http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/alternates/ and install Macromedia Flash Player. Scroll down to click the Flash Player installer link for your computer's operating system.
3) Go to http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/alternates/ and install Macromedia Shockwave Player (full installer). Scroll down to click the Shockwave Player installer link for your computer's operating system.
4) If you have a pop-up blocker on your home computer, add rm.com as an exception (or allowed) website.
5) Login to RM Math at http://mywork.rm.com/
6) The first time you use RM Math on your home computer, you will get a message asking you to "Install the ActiveX Control". You will need to install this to use RM Math.
After you complete the above six steps at home, you only need to do step #5 to login at home in the future.
Other troubleshooting tips:
- RM
Math works best with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or more recent. If you
would like to update or install Microsoft Internet Explorer on your home
computer, you can do so at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads

If you use Netscape at home as your browser, RM Math works best with version 7.1
or more recent (http://browser.netscape.com/). You may
also need to install a separate file as well (click here for
directions).
- RM Math does not work with the Safari,
Opera, and Firefox browsers.
