Boston Field Trip
The 8th grade went to Boston on Friday October 13th. We went for two purposes, to walk the Freedom Trail and to go to the Museum of Science. When we finally arrived to Boston, after a 2 hour bus ride, we were near Quincy Market. We took a break there, before starting off to the Freedom Trail. At the Freedom Trail we visited the Copp's Hill Burial Grounds. We saw the graves of people involved in the Revolutionary War. Next we visited the Old North Church and learned about the architecture and importance it had in the Revolutionary War. Then we visited Paul Revere's house. Last, we visited Faneuil Hall.
After that, we finally got to have lunch and shop at Quincy Market for a little while.
We went back onto the bus and went to the Boston Museum of Science. We went to exhibits of everything. After going to all the exhibits, we finally got to go to the Imax theater. There, we saw THE MAGIC OF FLIGHT. We learned about the flight of airplanes. We saw the Blue Angels and the first Wright Brother's plane. We got to see more of the museum, and check out the Gift shop.
After that, we got back into the buses and headed home. Speaking for the majority of the Eighth grade, I think we had a great time.
