The Tempest of The Looming Sky

The
moonlight shown across the pond as the calm night drifted on
Jet-black
clouds rolled across the sky
In
a moment the silent rain fell across the forlorn land
As
though the gods themselves were weeping
Rain
cascaded to the earth
Streams
tore across the prison of land to find water
The
thunder yelled and boomed
Lightning
tore across the moonlight sky
The
air sizzled in its wake
As
though wanting to escape
Water
broke from the confines of a puddle and fled downhill
As
quickly as the storm, it rolled away
The
water dripped from the leaves creating ripples in the water below
A
frog hoped through the dewy grass as the birds chime early morn
All
was calm
