I currently teach eighth grade language arts and literature. For twenty-seven years prior to coming to MMS, I taught sixth and seventh grade language arts in Vernon. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and my master’s degree from the University of Connecticut.

Along with my husband, Scott, I live in Willington, where we raised three daughters, all of whom are now also teachers.

In addition to my passion for teaching, I serve on the Board of Directors for YMCA Camp Woodstock, chair the Middle Level Honors and Awards Committee at the Connecticut Association of Schools, and sing in various local and regional music groups.

Oh yes, and I love everything that pertains to Garfield, as you will see if you visit my room.
