  1. Sotto voce = Under the breath: in an undertone; also: in a private manner

 

  1. Unanimous = Being of one mind. Agreeing

 

  1. Adjourn = To suspend a session indefinitely or to another time or place; to transfer to another place

 

  1. Rotogravure = A printing process that produces an image or impression from a cylinder.

 

  1. Defendant = Bert Cates is the defendant. He is a person required to make answer in a legal action or suit.

 

  1. Prejudice = A preconceived preference or idea. An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts.

 

  1. Bias = A preference or an inclination, especially one that inhibits impartial judgment. An unfair act or policy stemming from prejudice.

 

 

  1. Bigot = a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own.
