It is the mission of the Mansfield School Libraries to support the educational goals of the Mansfield School District and to facilitate the information and literacy needs of the teachers, staff and students of our schools. This will be accomplished by:

•  Providing cooperative access to quality collections of curricular-based print and non-print materials;

•  Promote the use of a wide variety of instructional materials within a district-wide, collaborative environment;

•  Supporting electronic access to and cooperation within our global educational community and fostering mutually supportive partnerships within our local community that support libraries;

•  Disseminating information on issues of copyright, fair use, and electronic plagiarism;

•  Providing support for information literacy skills, including the retrieval, examination, investigation, and evaluation of information resources;

•  Encourage a love of reading and an appreciation of literature and libraries.
