Students take a literature course in the seventh grade. The literature curriculum expands reading skills, comprehension, and appreciation of literary forms, including novels, short stories, classic prose, and poetry. Discussion, interpretation, and evaluation are central to the program. The class content complements the social studies and science curricula.
